Mannheim, Germany, April 12, 1977: Darnell Valentine of the U.S. team drives to the hoop during his team's 131-75 win over Italy in the Albert Schweitzer international basketball tournament. Valentine scored 30 points and added seven steals for the title-bound U.S., which also featured future Hall of Famer Earvin "Magic" Johnson. The biennial Schweitzer tourney has brought some of the world's top junior players to Mannheim since it was started in 1958.
